My rebuild is almost done. What I have no is no turn-over on the starter. I'll preface by saying that the battery is at 25% with a charger on it (12V 6A). All I get is a single "click" when I turn the ignition.

Also, the fan stays on constantly when the ignition is "on".

Ideas?

Note: I have about five cables not connected. One is a two bladed mail connector right next to the master cylinder. Another one is a gray female that looks like 3 blades go into it and that is right above the VSS connector. Third is a round plug with two round female holes that is coming out of a bundle right behind the driver side head lamp. The other two are on the passenger side behind the headlamp. One is coming off of the positive battery cable and the other one is coming out of the big bundle behind the headlamp. Also, I can't find the connector for the IAB valve.

I know the starter works because a month ago I accidentally touched the starter wire to the hot wire when I was putting everything on the relay

12 volt charger putting out 6 amps isn't going to cut it.

I just tried to start it again. 100% charge and it just makes a single click.

Is the fan supposed to turn on when the engine isn't on?

Try jumping your solenoid.. Take a screwdriver, and touch one of the large posts to one of the small ones. One side or the other should work. The key must be in the "run" position. That was the only way my lincoln would start..:oogle:

I used a wire and it made more noise. I went and got a new relay and it turns over. It won't start, but that's another topic!
