I noticed that when I start my 93 mtx it don't wanna start right up and I seem to have a mild loss of power. Any quick ideas or tests I can run?

Any CEL? You can pull codes to give a better indication.

Without more info it is tough to diagnose. Make sure plug wired are secure. Check for oil in the plug wells. Clean the MAF with MAF specific cleaner. Insure sensors are pluged in securely (MAF/DIS/Can Sensor/etc).

No codes. I pulled the MAF off and cleaned it good (that's what I thought it was at first lol) No oil in the plug wells (the gaskets are new). I will check all the plugs on the sensors. It was stalling bad it would not idle at all it would run fine but as soon as you let off the gas it would die. not a lugging die it would just die. and to restart you had to hold peddle to the floor. I did a idle reset and that fixed all that but it still dont wanna fire right up and there seems to be a minor power loss. O ya and the cam sensor is new well a couple months new.
Thanks

Could it be something to do with fuel pressure? I have noticed that there mite be a minor fuel leak somewhere but I cant seem to pin point where. I can smell gas from time to time.

Get a gauge and hook it up and see.. Can you hear the pump prime before you start it? Is there a vacuum leak? Have you check to see if there is oil in your plug wells? I think I've asked you this stuff before...

Maybe a loose or corroded ground?

As stated, check for vacumn leaks too.

always, always check for codes first, even if there is no check engine light.

I have checked the plug wells and they are dry (the gaskets are new). I checked vacuum last night and there does not seem to be ant leaks. I used my mighty vac and there was no leak downs. The fuel pump does prime when you turn the key on. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge. Is there any way to rig one up?

only code I got was 114. Maybe its just me lol. That solid motor mount messes with me. It idles at 800 and everything under the hood is mostly new. After the idle reset it idled great but that motor mount makes it shake ya know. I think I need to find a good front motor mount for it and get rid of the solid one. I don't drive it much in the winter so i am use to a smooth idle in my other cars.

114 is complaining that the intake air temp sensor is out of range.

I have never seen one of these engines run properly when that code was present. symptoms ranged from moderate to severe, but in my experience, you need to find why that code is present and solve it to make the engine run correctly.

I did not let it warm up before checking codes. Everyone said to ignore this code?

the intake air temp sensor does not care if the engine is warmed up or not. it measures the air coming into the engine - it is located in the side of the airbox, just below the filter.

in my experience, if the pcm is showing that code, the engine will not run right. period.

I don't know who "everybody" is that "said to ignore this code" but I strongly disagree based on my experience with SHOs.

Ok intake air temp sensor is in the intake box (airbox) right? Hmmmm could be because its not installed do to custom intake. I will check it out tomorrow and find a way to get in there and see what happens. Good thought that one slipped my mind thanks.
