Found this while searching for places you can still get non-ethanol gas... not a lot of stations left around the country but hope it helps. The 94 seems to like it better than 10% ethanol blend and it'll help keep small engines alive and running properly too :)

Yeah, in my area some Marathon stations have it. And about 3-4 foreign owned convenience marts. It runs 10-13 cents per gallon higher than the 10% ethynol mixes in Shell, Chevron or BP in my area. My cars get probably 1-2 mpg more on it than ethynol mix, {premium} and I find no difference in performance { actually, I've had 'ping' comming away from stopped with it on occaision}. I use it in chain saws and mowers now, that's about it.;)

I don't use pump gas in the two cycle engines that are in my weed eater and leaf blower merely because they don't run properly. That is if if they start all. I buy the premixed gas in a can that has no ethanol in it now and have none of the issues that were present before. So imagine what that stuff does to the engines in our cars.

It doesn't do anything in our engines except combust. The downside to E10 is slightly less fuel mileage. With a boosted car (especially turbo), the higher the ethanol content, the better.

At 15% (FFV) they have to change the fuel lines to stainless because it'll eat normal steel lines. Wonder what 10% will do over time? Fuel injectors? The rails? Fuel pumps? Seals?

And if you can get a two cycle engine to start with 10% blend to even combust when it's used over time, let me know. I refuse to use pump gas in the yard equipment because of my experience. And those aren't fuel injected engines here. They're simple carbs with needles and if they feeling the effects of the blends, imagine what it does to fuel injection components.

Since I bought my SHO (~10 years), it's been running 10% ethanol. The only part that is left that is stock is the fuel rails, return line and tank, but they're all doing fine.

Also, there's those Subaru guys that have been running E85 for 5+ years on stock fuel systems with upgraded pumps and injectors.

It's NOT doing anything harmful to your car's engine. To run E85, you would need to upgrade a fuel pump and injectors as you'll need ~30% more fuel injected and just about every aftermarket injector and pump I've seen, handles E85.

I only ran my gas powered weed whacker on E10 for 3 years, but when I sold it, it worked just fine.

I wouldn't pour E15 on the ground. It'll dissolve anything plastic or rubber in cars that aren't specifically FFV. Ever gets to the point that it's all ya can get.......I crate my stuff up and move to Saudi.:naughty:

Ethanol is garbage. I'm not getting into a political war, but if this country was run correctly, it wouldn't be an issue. Take that watered down shit and pour it on the ground...or ****, drink it in the form of Everclear.

Politics aside, Ethanol is great... Better than race fuel. ;). You just need a car that can make use of it :).

Polictics aside. I just think pumps should be labeled. You should know what you are buying. I have a 75 MG Midget. I should be informed. My thoughts. Maurice

All the pumps I've seen around here are labeled. Some even have extra signage warnings for boat owners to make sure their stuff is compatible.

all the testing I've seen says that anything that is okay on 10% ethanol is okay on higher concentrations also, in terms of corrosion, etc.

not only is the gas mileage better on 'real' gas, but also if you use some acetone in the 'real' gas you can raise your mileage another 5-15% depending on the engine. however, the ethanol counteracts the help of the acetone and you get no better mileage on the E10 stuff. btw, I have tested this myself, so this is not some wives' tale.

We use Ethanol blends because it's what we've got, short of racing gas, or hunting up a station with non-blended gas. But anyone {like me} who remembers how Sunoco 260 and 270 and Shell Premium ran in our big block Camaros and Mustangs, know that what comes out of pumps now is reprocessed horse urine.:snicker:

Heh, you sound old. Do more research on E85. I'd take it over straight gasoline. I prefer a more complete/faster burn that runs cooler and has more volume to help turbo spool.
