no taillights

I have no taillights but still have brake lights and turn signals. Ive checked all the fuses and lights and all are good. Any ideas?

Sounds crazy, but start by swapping in some new bulbs and have a look for grounding problems.

Just got done changing lights and still no luck. I also found that the plate lights are not working either. I will look into the ground wire.

No Tail lights

Tail light power is run through the turnsignal (multifunction) switch and headlight switch on the SHO's. Try replacing one at a time and see if you have some success.

There are fuses under the hood as well as under the dash, have a look there if you have not already.

Also, i know this sounds funny... jiggle the turn signal indicator around a bit.

I checked all the fuses under dash and hood but there seems to be more under dash on wires and not sure what they are. All the lights used to work. are any of the 3 silver fuses in the fuse block under dash related to breaks?

Ok, I tested both wires and both have power. I also tested the brown wire in trunk and only seem to be getting .01 with the light turned on but at the swicth brown wire was 11.22

Any aftermarket spoiler or something with additional lights?
Is the car wired for trailer lights or for a tow behind RV?

Nope nothing extra. Ive followed the wires all the way from trunk to where it goes up by ebrak. Also tested wires by the ebrake and got the same as I got from trunk. Starting to think a mouse might of chewd a wire in the dash.

The advice from 1MADSHO91 is worth noting and I would start there, now that everything else seems to be covered. There have been a lot of ignition switches (not the key tumbler part, but the part buried below that) that have been melted and caused lots of problems. Time to take that steering column cover off and look for charring.
Forget the mouse angle.

Ok guys, thanks for all the help I was messing around with wires in dash and went to go test with light on and it went from reading .01 to 10.42 I got out and checked and all the sudden have taillights and l plate lights. Not sure what I did but it all works for now I guess
