No Start Condition....

-picked up a used '93 atx a few weeks ago with a bad tranny. the engine is suppose to run. you can spray starter fluid or gas down the air intake, it will fire up and run. but just trying to start it with the key, it wont hit a lick. changed out the multi relay, cam sensor, ign. module, fuel pump runs, has fuel at the fuel rail. previous owner put plugs and wires on it and said it would start after a while of cranking, but i havent heard it even try to start yet unless i feed it fuel down the intake. any suggestions?? coil pack maybe?? and i know alot of you will say cps, but even if that was it, it should still fire up after a time because of the random fire when the cps goes out, so i dnt think its that. with fuel pressure at the rail and the plugs dry, somethings not firing the injectors......:type:

Have you actually measured the fuel pressure (in psi)? If so, what is the reading.

cant be anything ignition related if it will start everytime with spray

Could also be the ECT. I've had that problem before on a 95ATX.

Try pulling the codes....

But im with steve, check the FP at the rails.

well if you are in the market for a atx i got that along with many other atx parts i need to get rid of
