I have spent the last hour searching, but I have not found what I am looking for. I went to start my 93 ATX last night and only got dash lights. No engine turnover at all. I can hear the fuel pump priming. Battery has a full charge. I have checked the switch in the truck.

I only have a code for my TPS sensor which I have had for several months. The starter and alternator were replaces a little over a month ago with rebuilts from O’Rielly’s. I will be checking all of my connections and grounds this weekend. Please point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Eric

If you are only getting 'dash lights' with no cranking of the starter, I would initially suspect that the starter is bad or the connections to the starter does not have a good contact and is not getting 'juice' from the battery. From my experience, I am already on my second starter from Advance auto. The first one lasted a little over a year - thank goodness I have a lifetime warranty on the starter.

I would hook up a remote start switch (pretty cheap if you don't have one) directly to the starter and see if it turns over; if not, either the starter or the solenoid is the culprit...

I'm actually experiencing the same problem for the first time today with my 95 ATX. What is that switch he's talking about?

He is talking about the fuel pump shut off switch. Not the problem is the is fuel pressure. Which he states the fuel pump can be heard.

Most likely a starter went south, or the solenoid. Of course check all connections first. You may try to jump across the solenoid and see if she fires up.

Starter Issue - Big Possibility

Four years ago, my 95 ATX started to experience its first intermittent problem on the starter. Whenever the engine is cold, the starter would crank. As soon as the engine hearts up and I turn off the engine, the starter will not crank at all. It got worse and worse over time and then eventually it failed to crank at all.

Replace your starter with a lifetime warranty from Advance Auto and you should be covered for a long long time. (The solenoid is included with the remanufactured unit)

Make sure you also check the basics.

I don't know how many times I have seen a "starter problem" be that the car was left in gear. It will only start in Park or Neutral. Try both Park and Neutral too, in case one of the selector switches went bad.

Good luck

I will be checking every connection in the starter system this Saturday, but I am guessing my "new" starter is gone already. Thanks for the help and any further assistance.
