So I finally finished putting the engine back together. Tried starting it and the battery was pretty much dead, so I use my moms SHO to boost mine and tried it but doesn't want to start. At this point my dad came out to help me and we tested a plug to see if there is a speak. We could not get a spreak. I did make sure the fuel pump was working. Any ideas on what wrong?

Check the ground strap that bolts to the back of the upper intake passenger side, make sure the upper intake is bolted down properly, make sure the DIS electrical connectors are plugged in.

I mean spark sorry, wrote that in a rush.

Ground strap I check multiple times and as for my DIS, its pretty banged up and I was hoping it would be ok, maybe not. Any other there ideas?

Does the check engine light stay on or go off when you are trying to start the motor?

I would try starting it with a freshly charged battery. We all know how SHOs are without a good supply of juice.

Just a thought. But when I did my 120k which included a CPS I did not gap it correctly and she did not start or have spark. Does the tach move when you are cranking?

I got it going today. It seemed to be sparking fine, but I had the number 1 and 3 plug wire backward, oops. Thx for the help, but I have to take it all apart. Its smoking, i think the valve cover gasket has roled. :(
