I finnally got my SHO saturday. Can't wait to get it running.

Anyways it won't crank. I found a fuel leak but is is still getting some fuel to the motor but still won't crank. Tried starting fluid still nothing. So I checked the spark and there is no spark coming from the coil pack. Is my coil pack bad or could there be something else wrong? I've all ready replaced the ignition module. I just started playing with it last night I'm going to try and do more on it tonight. I just wanted some hints of what else to check. I use to push rod motors. I'm learning on these.

Thanks
Chris

You need to clearify what EXACTLY it is and is not doing.

You say it wont crank. That means the motor will not turn over.
If that is the case, you need to look more towards the starter curcuit.

If it IS cranking, and you are not getting any spark, there is a break in the ignition system somewhere. Possibly a bad or un-grounded DIS, or a crank sensor.

When I say " It won't crank." I mean it will turn over but will not crank and run. It will turn over but not start.

There is supost to be a ground strap on the back of the motor which side of the motor is it on? Istarted looking for a ground strap on lunch to day and can't find one. So I was wanting to know where is was sopost to be. I know grounds can screw with stuff.

The intake has been ported and polished. It started to mess up after we put it back on. The car has set up for about 6-8 months waiting on the intake now it won't crank. I bought the car this way so I don't know where everthing is or is sopost to go.

Thanks
Chris

Okay, just to clear things up, you need to quit saying "it wont crank":nut:

Obviously it IS cranking (turning over) but it will not fire.

Now, would te motor start before you had the intake off?

Yes the car ran good before he changed the intake. It took him 6-8 months to put the intake back and get it on. Now it won't fire.

The guy I bought it from drove it from Atlanta to Birmingham and then drove it around for about 2 weeks then sent the intake off to get ported and now it won't fire. I think it is something simple.

It sounds like something's not plugged in...

Check the signal from the crank and cam posistion sensors. Check that the DIS module is present, plugged in securely, and not cracked.

Do you have ANY spark at ANY cylinder? Check that the engine ground that attaches to one of the rear (firewall) intake supports.

You need to find out if you have NO spark or improperly timed spark. Check your spark plug wires and see if they are in the right order.

Honestly, I'd fix your fuel leak before going any further despite the fact it may not be your no-start issue.

WOOOOHOOOO Got it running!!! Thanks for everyones help. The guy who had it before me didn't put 2 bolts in it. When he put the ported intake on he forgot the 2 bolts that hold the passenger side of the intake on. The module was not getting any ground or just enuf to start and then go dead. He wasn't to happy that it was so simple to fix. O well.

Again thanks for all ya'lls help.

yup I have ran into that same problem on a friends car. He had the intake off and forgot those bolts that bolt the crossover tube down. Now it runs fine well atleast it did run fine.
