as the title says i have no power to door locks or power seats and i havent for over a year now on my 92 SHO.
i played around before with a few things in hopes of fixing it with no luck..
i know they share a common ground which is at the drivers seat near the trunk and gas door release which i checked that a year ago and i did again today as i cleaned it up and sanded the paint down where the ground lug bolts to the car also applied some dielectric grease to keep it from getting nasty now that i sanded it down.. nothing but the weird thing i noticed was when i had the ground off the interior lights dimmed as well as the dash lights and such and the drivers door made a ticking sound, when i hit the door lock or power seat buttons it made all the lights get bright again but still did nothing like its should.
i then took off all the connections cleaned them and added more dielectric grease to them plugged them back in and still nothing..
also in the past month i installed new doors and cleaned all the connectors up there as well as checking fuses probley 30 plus times.
the only thing i can think of is somewhere a wire must be shorting out.
i guess my goal with this is to see if someone had the same problem before and found a solution like maybe i have the same issues as them..
the only thing i got left to door is take the car apart the rest of the way and sit out there with my multimeter checking every wire and pulling them all out of the harnesses.
only thing i kept thinking was a issues was the fact the car had a car alarm installed from one of the past 13 owners (yeah its been around the block) it wasent a real bad install job but they did use crimps which i dont like to use personally but also i took out the relay junctions they install on the wires and soldered and shrink wrapped them back to stock...
thanks in advance if anyone can help
