Title says it all... 95 ATX no crusie and no horn. Fuse is OK, did a search and swapped out the clockspring/horn and steering wheel with a known good unit and still have nothing. Where should I look next? What could be the cause? Man I miss my 93 with all the issues already resolved :(

Check your cruise control module, make sure its plugged in tightly. If you have a spare module, try to swap that out. Good Luck and keep us posted. :thumb:

I had an odd problem on a Expedition where a bad cruise control actuator caused the horn not to work. Seems the horn grounds thru the cruise control(for some wierd reason?)on that vehicle...may be similar on the SHO. Some of those wiring diagrams that are stickied in the electrical forum may help see how the circuit works better :thumb:

OK, swapped out new servo today and still no luck. I noticed the connector that plugs into the servo is very corroded and I may try to wire in a new one. If it matters, I have the horn working when I set the factory alarm with the keychain remote. I really want the cruise, but the car is just not safe without a functional horn. Thanks for the replies and keep em coming.

Thats similar to the problem i had on the expedition. The horn would work with the key fob, and would work with the car off(never figured why car on/off made a difference). check that connector and possibly the ground to the cruise control module :thumb:

Hummm... my horn will not work in the car regardless, on or off. I checked the connections to the horns and they were fine. I am thinking the connector (to the servo itself) is causing the problems, but after swapping springs/struts, O2 sensors, and doing cam seals and a timing belt all in the last week on the 95 I am sick of working on it for awhile. Not to mention swapping in the new clockspring and black steering wheel. This is why I loved my 93, the maintainence was done and reliable  Damn wreckless & uninsured people. :madflame:

The fact that the horn works with the keyfob means the circuit between the horn relay and the horns is ok, and its a matter of the horn button not grounding the horn relay for some reason.
As noted in this- http://shoforum.com/diagrams/1995/9506.pdf diagram under 3.2SHO...The switches in the steering wheel are ALL grounded thru the cruise control module, so that corroded connector is probably your problem :thumb:
