Not really. I have no heat until after the thermistat opens, is that normal? The temp gauge will go up to a little over halfway and then drop down to the bottom of normal. Im assuming that is the thermistat openning. after that the heat is fine.

I know that the EATC won't start blowing some air before the temp haven't reached a certain point. My heater is starting to blow when the neddle pass the white line just over the blue cold mark. It dosen't start immidiatly because the air would be cold anyways.

There is something called a "Cold Engine Lockout" (CELO) switch that prevents blower motor operation when the coolant is under 125F or thereabouts. However, as far as I know, the CELO function gets overridden in many circumstances, such as when defrost mode is selected, so you should still be able to get some warm air using the defrost setting, even with the coolant temp under the 125F threshold.

You might consider changing your T-stat if that hasn't been done in some time.

It has been my experience, and I thought the way it functions, is that the CELO switch is only used by the EATC in "Auto" mode.
