What year is your car?

I'm guessing that your multi-function switch has failed.

it seems like the most common problem with these, in the case of malfunctioning headlights

That was my initial guess - the multifunction switch.

When I picked-up my current SHO in Massachusetts, as I was pulling out of SHOBam's driveway (now Bruce M), the lights failed. After a few "vigorous" cyclings through the left-right turn signals, the lights came back on.

The SHO had been sitting for months, and I suspect that corrosion due to lack of use caused the problem. More than 15 months later, the lights still work and the only other problem I have had, has been the right turn signal not working correctly (it rapid-cycles) only when the high beams are on.

Guess it's time to disassemble and clean the MFS.

Disclaimer: I did not buy the SHO from SHO BAM, he graciously offered garage space where I changed two broken front springs before driving the SHO home . . . .

Thanks again Bruce ! ! ! !

Ok, so I am guessing that the only place to find one would be a wrecker? thanks for your input on this.
