I noticed on my 91 MTX that the ground strap that is supposed to connect to the intke is not there. I've heard that this could cause performance problems. If so, how bad are we talkin here, because my 14.7 sec SHO problably wouldn't hit 17's right now.It is running like CRAP!!! I think i might have one bad injector but surely that wouldn't cause that much of a power loss?

The engine will not run properly, if at all, without a good ground path to the DIS module. The motor mounts are rubber-to-steel and the transmission and drivetrain are not continuous enough for a consistent ground. If your engine is running, you must have some path to ground.

It is probebly connected elsewhere. As the othere said, your engine wouldn't run at all. Mine was loose and it caused the car to stall, buck, backfire, misfire, CE light came on, and the tach was all over the place.

yeah it must be hooked up somewhere else. The engine runs just not like it should. I got a power loss somewhere and it's driving me crazy trying to find it.
