just out of curiousity (or owever you spell it) i was lookin into nitrous but i dont want one of those fancy direct port isnt there any simple cheaper like 50-75 shot kits that will work on the shos

its been the top nitrous product for the SHO's.

BTW, its a Dry kit as that is THE only type to run with the SHO. (other than a direct port into the secondaries)

Your SHOBros add is misleading. The Zex kit does NOT monitor the AFR at all, and certainly has NO capability to shut down the N2O if the AFR gets lean. The NMU only monitors N2O pressure, and adjusts the signal to the FPR to manage the fuel pressure at the rails.

It's up to the operator to insure the fuel delivery capacity (i.e. pump, injectors, and FPR) as well as the plugs and tune are compatible with the nitrous shot (jet size) configured. A wideband O2 is highly recommended.

For what it's worth, I'm safely running a nitrous shot significantly north of 100hp with a Zex kit on the FreakSHO.

The ZEX system doesn't even do that. The rate of FP rise is propertional to the N2O pressure. It's a function, not a monitor.

That's why I like the NOS system. It's got 2 solenoids for safety (ZEX only has 1) and an N2O pressure regulator for fuel pressure adjustability and consistancy.

The only thing is some people dont like dry kits seeing that you can run lean and im sure that texantony will agree . if you just want a little more grunt yes the zex is the only known kit to run. but then there are people like me that want alot of grunt and the zex just wont do it

Safely? no. i would never run more than a 75 shot. Dry kits are just to iffy. All i have and will keep running is wet kits. There are less variables. Also with a wet kit u can run bone stock everything up to a 125 shot. But everyone has there own opinions. I cant make anyone run a wet kit i just know i am.

He said he didn't want a fancy direct port injection nitrous system, which is pretty much what you have to do with a wet kit on a SHO, right?

Eventually, I might put a standard wet kit that injects after the throttle body, but my intake probably won't have any fuel-pooling issues.
