Not a clutch problem then - did it go into reverse before the clutch change?

Edit - It can be a little hard to get it to drop into reverse at times, even with the car off.

it went in when I bought the car, but after I got it home before I started working on it wouldn't.....

I think it is supposed to help if you go into 4th and then reverse. It also helps on mine if I let the clutch out just a touch and then back in while putting it in reverse. What fluid did you use to refill it?
