Did you adjust the cable after the clutch change?

Lift up on it, then push it all the way in - hopefully it will click.

Or the disc is in backwards.

That's Murphy's Law. ;)

Kevin just told you how to adjust it:
Lift up on it, then push it all the way in - hopefully it will click.

You just need to lift on the pedal.

Did you put in new clutch lever bushings, too?

He is referring to the bushings for the fork that actuates the throw out bearing.

I think you're pulling it no matter what.

My bet is that the clutch disk is installed backwards (it should be labeled "FW side" or similar to indicate which side should be facing the flywheel).

I'm not sure what to say I didn't install the clutch disc, my friend was kind enough to mount it for me. He is 100% certain when I ask him though if he put it in right because it is written on it which way it goes.
Not sure how you could screw that up

had a little trouble with the throw out bearing when I first put the tranny in, pulled it back to realign, seemed to go in okay......... the fork was a little sticky, but worked out, but I don't think it's kicking it out.................... please I don't want to pull all that subframe and all that crap back loose @#$!@#$!@#~!@

I remember noting the disk saying 'engine side' on it and thinking, now only a complete ***** could screw this up. Then a couple of clutch jobs later I flipped the disk. Oh well, never said I was perfect :)

Moral of the story, no matter how sure you are, it still happens......

good news, took the car for a drive, alignment is a bit off and steering is a little funny (needs fluid). Did pretty good, I need to fix the muffler yet and interior is all ripped up but for the most part did well! Little scared of it but hopefully soon it'll be up and rocking!

Did you pull the axles from the trans? Did you fill it back up with fluid?
