Doug,
Can you program my XC2 to believe it's not a SHO, rather a spirited Mustang GT with a blower? This should add about 300HP if I'm not mistaken, correct? :nut:

On a serious note, can you give us a timetable on expected delivery? I know the the XC2 orders are supposed to take longer, but any ballpark guesstimate would be appreciated. Thanks! :thumb:

I was just looking at the old group buy. The old one sold at least 18 units that all shipped 7 days after the GB end date. Add two days if Doug needs to refill his stock. I beg forgiveness for speaking up for Mr. Lewis and I suspect we will all see our new gear about the end of next week +/-.

OK, thank you all so much. I'm tallying up all the orders and will be posting them here. I'll hit all the CC accounts Wed and then I'm off to Las Vegas... Oh, wait, did I type that out loud...

But seriously, I'll place the order with SCT later this week. It only takes a couple of days to get from Orlando to here.

Here's the updated list:

Brandon G. - '97
Bill F. - '96 Sable 24v - XC2 upgrade
Bob T. - '99 SHO no-O/D button
Jason B. - '97 SHO - XC2 upgrade
Bob K. - '99 SHO no-O/D button - X-Cal 2 upgrade
Wendall - '97 SHO
Brian R. - '98 SHO - XC2 upgrade
John S. - 97 SHO
Christian P. - '99 O/D button - XC2 upgrade
Wess - '99 SHO O/D cancel - XC2 upgrade
James A. - '00 Taurus 24v - XC2 upgrade
Ryan M. - 98 SHO
Jim C. - 97 SHO - XC2 upgrade
John L. - '97 SHO XC2 trade-in
Spencer J. - '98 SHO - XC2 upgrade
Pierre F. - '98 SHO - XC2 upgrade

Did I miss anyone?

i was courious. and if it was built into the ecu there might be a way of electronicaly compensating for larger pistons when doing brake upgrades (when the abs kicks on).

The Taurus still uses a height sensing proportioning valve. When you get our Cpobra brake conversion, you'll need to adjust that a little, but not much. In stock trim, it's set too high and needs to be dropped down.

But to answer your question, no. The programming in the ABS is set and not adjustable.

Just an update.

Tuners got ordered today. They should be here Tues. I'll start programming them and shipping them out late next week.

Thanks again.

Wess, I need you to give us a call or get in touch with me as soon as you can (PM, e-mail, phone call, carrier pigeon...whatever).

Hey, Mr Lewis.

Saw the post about the high altitude adjusments.

I spend alot of time about a mile high, beautiful butte, montana.

If I am correct there are three programs, one for 87,89, and 91 octane.

could I have my tuner programed for the regular 89, and 91 octane. Then for the third tune can i have it programed for 91 octane, mile high altitude.

Hope this makes sense. thanks very much. Cant wait to get the tuner.

Take care all.

If he's including the programming cable (which I believe he is, I paid extra for mine on the last GB) he can email you a number of different files and you can download them to the XC yourself. That's the beauty of this little gem.

They should leave the house tomorrow and be on their way.

Since one of the benifits is supposed to be slightly better MPG, I'm curious if anyone has tested this and come up with an approximate gain? (I'm guessing not, with people having to much fun driving, any calculations probably resulted in lower MPG, I know mine will!)

I drive pretty conservatively on the highway and average between 20-24 mpg with the 89 octane program. I did get one tank at 28 mpg. So, about the same as before the chip. No noticable power gain but, the firm shifting and rpm increase is nice.

Sorry Ian, my bad.

I'll try and get them to you today.

BTW, all but 2 tuners went out yesterday. You guys should be getting them tomorrow or Fri.

Pierre and Jason, your tuners should go out today. Shipping mixup.

Ryan, all 3 of your tuners are on the way.

UH OH. I didnt even think to mention it, but I just moved.

Mr Lewis what delivery service did you use to ship them? My mail is being forwarded from the post office, and I know our UPS guy really well over there, he brings anything to my house to my familys business. So should be ok there too.

Anyway, if you get my package back, i pay again for shipping and give you my new address.

OH well, big deal still wont have my car back for two to three weeks. I hate this waiting crap.

This is Brian Rauscher by the way.

thanks

brian
