Doug, if I wanted to trade in my XCal1 I got in the first GB, for the XCal2... Is the $100 a GB price Or is it good for some time after THIS GB?

Nope. That upgrade price is good for this GB only. The price of the X-Cal 2 units just went up from the manufacturer.

After this GB ends, the upgrade price will go up.

Yeah, David. There are two folks getting and upgrade from their original X-Cal 1 to the new X-Cal 2.

After this GB, that price will likely double.

do we have to return the stock program to our car before we send the xcal1 back to you, so the xcal2 can capture and store it????

If you want to trade in your X-Cal 1 for a new X-Cal 2 in this GB, here's how it'll work.

You must return the car to stock before returning your old X-Cal 1. If it's not returned to stock, it will not unlock and is useless.

When the GB ends, I'll tally up all those that have committed and make the charges to the appropriate accounts for the appropriate amounts (X-Cal 1 $370, X-Cal 2 $420 and X-Cal 2 trade in $100, plus $10 shipping within the continental United States). Then I'll place an order will be placed with the manufacturer. It usually takes a few days to get the stuff from Florida to Atlanta. When the parts come in, I'll begin programming each X-Cal and begin shipping them out. I'll do the X-Cal 1's then the X-Cal 2's.

Those that want to upgrade from their X-Cal 1 to a X-Cal 2 must get into the GB just as everyone else. They will be charged just as everyone else when the GB ends. It's up to you (and your expense) to return your X-Cal 1 in the proper condition before we will ship out the new X-Cal 2. Once you get in on the GB, you may return your X-Cal 1 at any time. I'll turn them right back around and get them out right away after the GB ends and the stock comes in.

Just so this is clear, if you want to upgrade from an X-Cal 1 to an X-Cal 2, you must get in on the GB just as everyone else does. Then it's up to you to return your X-Cal 1 in the proper condition within 30days or the deal is off.

If you don't make it within that time. your money will be refunded (minus a 20% stocking & service charge). This may seem a little harsh, but it's for a reason.

The old X-Cal 1 trade-ins will be checked out before teh new X-Cal 2's are shipped out.

If there's anyone on the fence about this group buy, DO IT! :doh:

Apart from the cost of the cam weld, this (my exhaust is a close third) was the best $400 I've spent on my SHO. It completely changed the personality of the car. Especially highway passing... no more worrying about when it will switch to third gear in the middle of a pass... it won't :evilgrin:

how much longer do we have till this GB ends? I'm picking up my 98' SHO on monday and I will be a happy owner of it and plan on doing this first (well after the cam weld)! Thanx

Ok im currently on the fence now. That is a nice price.

Doug do you set a base program with your settings (tq convertor cycle issue fix, shift settings, ect) with the XC2? Im but a mere amature at this.

I load in my base maps for the three different fuel grades (only difference is timing). If you want something different, let me know ahead of time and I'll make it happen. If something else needs to be changes sown the line, the programming cable is included in the price of the tuner. If no changes need to be made and you're a happy camper, you can return the programming cable for a $20 credit toward your next purchase.

Bottom line is that the three programs that the tuner comes with should be perfect for your application. If we need to make changes, it's as easy as checking your e-mail.

XC2 tweek request

Doug,

Is there any flexibility for my local elevation? I saw that you modified programing on the last xc-gb for one guy at 4000 ft above sea level. Can I also get that adjustment for 4500 ft above sea level? In addition, our local flavors are 87, 89, and 91 octane. Could you please tweek my order accordingly? Thanks
