Who makes the most bad ass turbos for the SHO that fit in the factory locations? I'm planning for 2025. Matt from TurboBay.

Personally I would go with Gearhead. Although I do have TurboBay Performance one off turbos. They have been put on and taken off 3 times all within 1 tank of gas!!!! Very expensive if you’re not doing the installation yourself. My Gearhead Gen3R turbos had zero issues!!!

I made 530 whp and 560 trq with Gearhead turbos. But not sure you’d wanna make that kinda power on a stock short block. Just my opinion. Good luck with your build!!!

Dying to hear about your Turbobay experience. Mine are still sitting in the box they came in along w/ my built shortblock until I recover from ye olde divorce. Was really hoping these were going to be a no-nonsense max usage of the stock housings so I could knock on 600's door after building up the trans and the like.

Well I was able to finish up some tuning with Brad. And unfortunately these new turbos are maxed out at 24 psi for now. I’ve spoken with Matt at TurboBay and he recommend I add 1-3 mm’s more to my preload. I’m running turbosmart IWG75 wastegates that are adjustable. But after looking further into it I decided to replace the 7lb springs and install 10lb springs and leave the preload at 2-3 mm’s. This will hopefully allow the turbos to generate 26-28 psi. We’ll see …
