hey guys just bought a 2010 SHO PP metallic candy red. I’m out in west Az. Already have muffler deleted other than that it’s stock. Looking for first mod ideas? Was thinking about LMS hurricane tune package but also maybe just some bolt ons to start with. Cold air, down pipe, Just want to see what idea you guys have or experiences that can help lead me to the right decision.

Lifetime Ford guy just picked up a used 2015 SHO non pp, k&n drop in, hypertech tune, and magnaflow mufflers, digging the car. First car since 2001 when I got my cc lb super duty, can't wait to meet up with other owners.

Welcome Dan,

I am in the North Valley. I would consider doing a complete fluid change. Oil, Coolant, PTU, RDU, and I would start cycling the trans fluid.

I have gone over every modification to my SHO and maintenance in the thread below. There is alot of info for a beginner in this platform and what to expect.

Since you are local , I would call Black Market Racing and schedule a dyno to session to see where you are starting from. I wish I had done that with mine when it was bone stock.

Couple of things. A cold air intake is a waste of money on these cars. The factory air box flows enough CFM and keeps the air temps down. Just throw in a K&N drop in and save yourself a lot of cash.

I would research more on LMS. There are numerous threads about them, and I am too the point I would not them touch my SHO. There are better tuning devices and great tuners out there. AJPTurbo and Matt at Gearhead would be my recommendations.

Downpipes are a good investment as well. However, in your shoes with the extreme heat, I would be looking into the GearHead Intercooler first. I have one and it is night and day better over stock.
