Call me crazy, but I'm going to grind all this rot out, fill with small fiber fiber glass, then spray can it with a kit. I'm not really concerned how it'll look. Everything I own is a 25 footer. Just don't want a massive rust hole staring at me.

Spend the money and have a body shop do it. Make sure they remove all of the cancer.

Body shops don't deal with rust. They will want to cut the entire panel off and then paint the entire car.

The car isn't worth $5k on a decent day. It's miled out.
