Alright, but a 92 mtx about a month ago. Replaced radiator & CPS, it's been running great. Today I was in town, running fine, stopped the car, was out of it prolly about 2 hours. I came back out to it, clutch in, starts fine, can't shift into gear. I got it in reverse but that ground too much, made me nauseus. It would not let me shift into 1st or any other forward moving gears. I turned off the engine, put it in 1st gear, clutch in, start engine, it ran ok, would shift to other gears but was kind of tough to down shift. If I came to a stop it would not go back into 1st, I'd have to go through the process of stopping the engine, putting it in 1st, etc. Does anyone have any idea what this transmission problem is? A mechanic mentioned a possible throw out bearing problem about 500 miles ago from a buzz he heard, but it didn't sound like he thought it would hurt the car for a while. Any ideas of what to check or replace possibly?

Sounds like your clutch is done for. Thats the exact problem my friend had with his 92. The tob was shot and the fingers on the pressure plate were almost completely worn through. I don't think it's your tranny since you are having such a hard time getting into reverse. If your clutch were still good, you should be able to get into reverse pretty easy.
