No more issues. Was my traction control. I just never thought it would act up that bad. Traction control off and now total monster. Don't know how long the AWD can put up with the power though. lol

Hey guys. Just finished tuning the car. 3 bar, down pipes, tuned, plugs, T-stat. Car runs amazing but last night I had 4 people in the car. When trying to launch the car would accelerate and when it came time to shift, not sure if into 2nd or 3rd, it seemed like it popped into neutral and was banging against the rev limiter. Any experience with this or suggestions? Thanks.

If I am rolling like 45 and romp on it, downshifts fine and keeps going. Only from a low low speed it does this rev limiter bouncing and neutral feeling when it shifts.

Any codes set? Could be needing a strategy update, or could be a hardware issue like TSS/OSS sensors. Sure it is not wheel slip causing the advancetrac to kick in? Tunes can do that.

Had that happen 1 time 2weeks ago. Never happened before. Been tuned for 2/years 33k. Updated tune 2months ago. Don't know why. Figured it was because the trans wasn't warm yet, or my inline trans filter needed to be changed.

Yup! Turned off traction control last night and tried it. No more issues except the front end wants to jump out of the car! lol Running great! Got a few lights due to advance trac, but shifting good and fast as ****.

I would go over the suspension & tire setup. See what works best on a daily basis for you. For example, something as simple as tire pressure can make a difference. If the tires have firm sidewalls, you don't need pressures higher than stock. But if the tires are soft-walled, such as with the General Altimax, you may want to raise pressures about 5 psi above stock to get the best performance. Very often, a spring upgrade (H&R) is of great help as well.

I have never heard of the traction control doing this. The only time I have ever experienced the traction control was on snow or ice and the engine just bogs down - certainly not banging against the rev limiter. The description of popping into neutral sounds more like the Transmission Range Sensor. I had that issue with my MKS several years ago.

Replacing the TRS is the same amount of work as replacing the TSS and OSS, btw. The valve body and the solenoid body assembly (TCM) have to come out.

Check the TSB to see if there is excessive resistance at the transmission connector, pretty straightforward test, but not quite as easy to get to the connector. If there is excessive resistance, replace the TRS.
