Hey people A friend of mine has a 95 3.2/auto that after a hard acceleration on the highway or an emptry street while letting the car come back down to normal speeds or after sitting for a while it will stumble like its misfiring or running rich. This lasts for a minute or two and then clears up? any ideas? Oh and I don't know if this is related but the check engine light will come on sometimes for a minute or 5 and then go out?

Wedge.

Wedge,
The CE light is storing a code that is trying to tell you something. There is a section here that will tell you how to read those codes and interpret what they mean. There are so many variables that can change a/f that you really need to pull the codes to see what is up. It is much better than stabbing in the dark, and/or replacing parts that don't need it. thumbup

Where do I find that section? a mechanic in our shop hooked the ford computer up to it, but all he could come up with was that there may be a vacuum leak some where around the front half of the intake? I checked for a leak with the trusty propane but could not find anything.
