Hey guys, I wanted to show you these LED's that DriveBright.com just released. They will fit all Ford Taurus' from 2010-2016 with the led light tube in the front corner of the bumper. Even if you have a Taurus that doesnt have the led tube, DriveBright.com has an insert to make it happen! It is easy plug and play technology with minimal install effort.

Not only do they serve as a dim light tube (like the stock ones do) but they are also bright 24W daytime running lights AND they can be wired into your turn signal to turn ORANGE when your "blinker" is on.

Dan with DriveBright.com only has a teaser video right now showing their brightness and function during the day.

Here's some photos of the lights installed: http://imgur.com/a/Gs20f

A new video of full function is on the way but they function exactly like the ones designed for the Ford Edge.

They come in any color you like and will even match any factory Ford color from 2010-2016. I ordered my set in White.

These lights are waterproof, durable, and have a legendary Phillips LED lifespan. Dan tests every set before shipping them to you.

Please PM me if you have any questions, I will be installing mine next week! See Dan's website to securely place an order!

The more I see these, the more I want them - but I always hear complaints from the kids when I buy myself something because they never have anything to buy me for Fathers Day...

Need those, and needed them yesterday! How difficult are they to wire to the turn signals?

Very, very easy. Dan includes snapping wire taps in his kit. Just follow the instructions on which color wire to tap.

Mine actually arrive tomorrow. Will hopefully have them installed Saturday and will post pics. I ordered the standard black ones to better match the housing, rather than the body color.

I've had mine for about a week now - must install now! Been too cold and messy though. I changed my order from black to silver - not only to match my car but with the black ones you can clearly see each diode-hole. The silver or white look closet to the OEM housing.
To make the turn signals work all you do is use the snap-taps to connect to the factory turn-signal wire and the LEDs will become turn signals. It really is a Plug & Play product with zero cutting, splicing, etc! Doing mine Sunday and will post pics!

Mine came a day early and I'm looking forward to installing them. I'm a little concerned, though, because there were no instructions included. The only ones were for the puddle lights.

I'm assuming the instructional video for the Edge is what we should use for reference?

Mine had 1 page instructions folded in half to make 4 pages of instructions but yes it's just like the Edge install.
Also the current units will be installed upside down! The writing on them will be upside down. You'll see when you install as there's only 1 way they can go in. Dan confirmed this with me as I was confused - the only way the diodes would aim forward and fit into place is with the writing upside down.

So I gave it the old college try, but the failing light and lack of Taurus-specific instructions caused my installation to come to a grinding halt. Unlike with the Edge, the light bars are not easily removable while the front wheels are still on the vehicle. There is too little room in which to squeeze my hand and the brackets face slightly inward, making it difficult to try removing the stock bars. The wiring harness installed easily enough to the battery and fuse box, though. Where the controller box is fastened to the strut tower in the Edge, I found that there isn't enough space on the Taurus towers, so I ended up securing the controller box to the lid of the fuse box. I'm not sure how I'm going to route the lines that will eventually lead to the light bars.

I haven't installed mine yet so thanks for the update on your try Orguss. I was wondering about the light bar removal and installation and how to run the wires through the engine compartment. Keep updating this thread please.

I don't have a socket set, so I can't remove the wheels on my own. But once that happens, the rest will easily fall into place. As far as the wiring, I may have been a bit premature about placing the controller box. While there is plenty of wire available to run within the engine bay, I think I should have tried running the passenger side wiring along the firewall, as shown in the installation video for the Edge. This would require repositioning the controller box to a more central location than the fuse box. If I leave it as is, I'll end up routing the line across the radiator support. Not sure if that'll look tacky.

As far as removing the wheels, do you have a spare tire? If so, underneath there is a jack and a wrench type thing that also fits the lug nuts.

I would highly suggest getting a tire iron or a 3/4" socket set if you don't have one. You never know when you will need it.

You do not need to remove the wheels. When Dan and I installed these, all you need to do is turn the steering wheel in whichever direction your working on. When your done with one side, turn the car on and turn the wheel again. You will only need to remove 3 screws that hold the splash guard in the wheel well. Hope this helps y'all

The 2013 SHO doesn't come with a spare tire. As far as turning the wheels, I did that. I have big hands and little patience for fumbling around blindly while my wrist is getting pinched. As I said, there aren't any instructions that came in my particular order--a minor but inconvenient oversight on the shipper's part. Therefore, I'd rather remove the wheels and work comfortably.

I thought SHOs without the PP package do have a spare tire, but not a fullsize spare? I have heard tell you can fit a regular wheel/tire in there if you have the tire deflated, which of course means, you need to keep an air pump in there as well.
