Hey guys, great site. I've been checking it for the past couple of days and finally decided to jump in. Also, I need some advice from all you SHO gurus out there.
Our stock '93 SHO has been doing weird things on idle lately. I cleaned the IAC valve and assembly. I also cleaned out the throttle body. The MAF was clean. I did all this three days ago and the idle straightened up and seemed fine. Last night I did an oil change. I also put in a new air filter. Standard WIX paper element. Now the thing has a warm idle of 1200 rpm as opposed to 900. What's up with that? Do I need to drain the CPQ and let it reset just for a new air filter? Should I just take it out on the road and blow the cobs out of it and see what happens? We're getting ready to drive about 1000 miles this weekend and I don't want any surprises if I can help it.
Thanks for any help and/or tips. I appreciate it.
