Yes Angela, we missed you! As a northerner myself, I feel your pain about salt, slush, cold, potholes, black ice and road construction that begins just when winter ends. Keep us updated on your adventures.

You will be in good company in MI, Angela, so no worries :) Jobwise may your prospects always soar, may you get a company Humvee for those winter nasties!

Now you're talking!! Humvee....WOO HOO!

Thanks Bruce... the salt is probably one of my big issues... and potholes, I suppose. I love in Atlanta how I can wash my car and it stays clean for weeks! I remember when I used to live in Michigan... it's like almost twice a week is required. But looking on the positive side, Georgia has that nasty humidity and no nice lakes! It will be cool to visit LME now too!

Hi everyone! Miss me? :p
I have been absent the last few weeks on the board...and probably for another little while. I have been traveling non-stop to Detroit, and I am in the process of being relocated back to Michigan - can't say I'm thrilled to deal with the roads (*** holes), salt, and winters that go on forever. But on the plus side, I will be close to Livernois Motorsports! YAY! I will be in and out for a few weeks as the move will be happening pretty fast...like less than 3 weeks. The SHO will be garaged with my Mustang for 6 months of the year now.........keep the rust down!
B4 storing your cars make sure you give them the best wash you can get. Hopefully with under car blast!

Yeah, welcome back to the freakin cold. I always thought PA roads sucked till I started going out to MI. WOW, makes our dirt roads look good. Good luck on the move, and good luck at work. Yeah stop and see Jamie at Livernois, give him some grief. He needs its it sometimes.

You'll get back in the swing of things in no time, and will be wanting to punch Frosty in the face, run over Puxatawney Phil with your Bull for lying, and kick Jack Frost in the balz. Welcome back! In case you can't tell, I live in MI. I'm near Ann Arbor in Ypsilanti, and my Mustang Bullitt lives in my garage from November until April. I hope your employer is paying you well, and for your move.

You're moving to Mi. and you're not going to drive an AWD in the winter? I have Michelin winter tires on mine and it's a tank. I like the SHO but I can't get my head around storing it in the winter. It's not like it will ever be collectible. But, it's your call.

Hi kids!!!

Like so many of us do, I got away from the forums and had to pay much attention to real life and other matters.

But just checking in, I thought I'd address Angela's concern about the rust issue and being back in salt country.

Angela, my 2010 spent its entire life in the Nawth-east, 115K miles on it before my unfortunate incident, and many, many miles of potholes, salt, dirt roads, and other things we normally loathe and try to avoid. When it was inspected by the adjustor for the insurance company he remarked how well-kept it was and absolutely NO sign of rust!

So drive it!! That's part of the reason I've bought my second one . . . . its ability to overcome any and all that Mother Nature can throw at it and protect me and my loved ones!! Well, that and it goes like a cat with a scalded ****!! :D

Oh, and btw . . . . good to see you all and catch up on my reading!

Wasn't aiming for you. However, I am a pretty decent shot, so if I had been aiming for you, there is a pretty good chance I wouldn't have missed.

And to echo Fred, don't drink the water.

I have the best deep well water possible. We are sitting on 20% of all the fresh water in the world. Regarding Flint, they pulled water from the Flint river , which had so much chloride from salt run off that it removed the protective coating inside of the pipes, exposing the lead content , which broke away and went into peoples homes. Terrible situation and there is nothing funny about it.

All they had to do was treat the water...it's a shame really.

Rust, watch for the inside lip of your trunk lid where it meets the bumper when closed...many SHO'S have a rust issue there.

I am not opposed to driving it year round. I have a work vehicle (lease) that will be up in a few mos. Not sure if I will get the choice of leasing another, or if they will switch me to my personal car (with soon to be back in Michigan). If the latter, I will be driving the SHO all year.
