Hello,

Glad to be here!

My obsession with a monster SHO started off when my friend recommending I buy a used police cruiser.

Most of the police cars in my area are the Taurus variety. After buying mine, I can tell you I’m totally convinced. there’s nothing like blowing by a speed trap going way over the speed limit and simply waving at the cop. I even managed to get license plates that match the color of the local cop plates.
Now my 2013 Police Interceptor Sedan (Taurus) is showing it’s age. It’s time to upgrade.

At this point in my life, money is no object object. I could easily buy a $200,000 Ferrari. Unfortunately, losing my license would suck.

So here’s my plan… Buy a newer SHO, swap out the exterior parts to make it look like a police interceptor. Mount some antennas, and soup the s%#* out of it.
after doing a ton of research, I think I found that the only SHO that came in oxford white was the 2019. I really want the driver assist package, AND I think the police wheels will not fit over the PP brakes.

I would not mind painting a platinum white, but getting the right color would be nice.

The next challenge is finding something like that.

I’m sure I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my research, and I have a lot to learn. I will really appreciate all of the assistance from you folks.

Note: I am NOT looking for an Ecoboost Police Interceptor.
I hate the tree shifter and stripped down interior.
I want a top o’the line SHO with all the buttons, especially the lane departure stuff. (Cloth makes my skin crawl)

I may be mistaken but I thought the Police Interceptor initially was a PP in terms of performance parts (brakes, PTU drain plug, etc). Seems like you could buy a PP and swap some parts with the 2013 Interceptor.

Did not know that the PI had the PP. I’ve got a non boost PI currently.
I’d still rather have the driver assist. Not really looking to take it on the track.

Like I said, I could be wrong. I thought all PI's were Ecoboost.

Call Dave Kindig, tell him exactly what you want to do, cut him a check and let us know when we can watch the episode of the fully built SHO PI street Monster when it airs on BitchN Rides. All you gotta do is sit back and wait.

That's what I would do if money were no object and I wanted a Taurus. I wouldn't want another 500hp one...try more like a 900-1000whp one with custom everything...trans...EVERYTHING. And you want a PI monster? I'd have it looking similar to the Transformers Decepticon Mustang PI. "To Enslave and Punish"

Yup. You're wrong.

In fact, most (local) agencies opt to NOT get the EB PI. For a multitude of reasons.

State Police, and some County agencies will opt in on an EB based powerplant, as their zones encompass a large radius of (on average) 120 miles for one trooper/deputy.

Or call Texas Metal and get some custom air ride with a supercharged LS engine.

Ok, maybe I shouldn’t have said “no object” lol

And yes, most PI’s are non-boost. In fact the boosted ones are kind of hard to find at the auctions. I will say that the stripped down PI interior gets really old. I want some damn buttons and lights to play with.

so, yea. I only want 500hp, with driver assist in Oxford white (police color).

I’m happy to be amongst dreamers though. Lol.

So I am from VA... my SHO is at 500awhp. If you are in the Northern VA area let me know, would be happy to help.

I have an AIRAID CAI for sale too.

So, from what I gathered on from the Ford brochures, the only year that the SHO came in Oxford White was 2019. Is this right?

I’m actually thinking of using my ‘13 as a donor car for the exterior. I’ve already got HID in the ‘13. Then I’d sell a ‘13 PI in SHO clothes. Hence the desire to find an SHO in Oxford white. (Not easy, especially with driver assist)

Oxford white is an old color. Came on 1st gens.

That is what color the police use here in VA. see my avatar.
I’m planning on swapping bumper/headlights/grill/trunk lid from my ‘13 so it looks the same as what they have. Sleeper++

I saw one online. 2019 with all the options. I could kick myself for not getting it. It was at the beginning of my search, and I didn’t realize how “odd” it was.
