I was just wondering how your fabricator guy was doing on your ATX motor to MTX subframe mounts. Anything happening?

No word yet, but as you know I'm not rushing him. I've been too swamped with work to worry about it much, anyway.

BTW, I hope to be up for a bit on Saturday to poke at #97 a bit. I think you'll be away, but just thought I'd let ya know...

This has me thinking. With these custom mounts, how is the pass. side halfshaft set up?

Not to step on Eric's toes or anything like that, but basically what we're trying to do is make an engine mount that is the bottom half of an MTX mount so it bolts to an MTX sub frame, and the top half of an ATX mount so that it bolts to an ATX engine AND has the power steering pump in the same location as a standard ATX.

It was all Eric's idea.

I just kept giving him that famous puzzled look of mine till he figured it out.

Yes, the bottom half of the MTX bracket has the mount for the halfshaft and the motor mount, the upper part of the ATX bracket has the p/s pump and tensioner mount. Same thing on the other side only a little simpler.

I'll send a note to the shop to see how they're coming. They've been quiet for a while.
