Drove through some water during the last storm and got some in the front passenger footwell. Didn't notice it for a few days as I have rubber floormats. Finally the mildew/mold smell really kicked in and when I pulled the carpet back the padding held tons of water like a sponge. Pulled it all out and trying to dry it out but not sure if I can **** and neutralize all the smell.

Anyone purchased new carpet aftermarket? Opinions/suggestions as to quality and fitment.

I bought a new carpet from stockinteriors.com last year. I got the thickest pile and backing they make. Fitment wasn't too bad. There were a couple spots (mostly by the driver's side kick panel/parking brake pedal) where fitment wasn't perfect, but otherwise it fit okay. It did take a little time to get things cut right. Quality seems to be good enough. I think it was heavier/thicker than the 22 year old factory carpet. The vacuum would remove some fuzz from it, but that's to be expected I guess.

Thanks Kelvin. I was looking at their website and considering it. Looks like a few bucks for the higher end fabric and backing. Hard to tell about fabric quality until it's in your hands.
