New Atx

I have come to the conclusion that my 93s atx is going to kick the bucket. Has anyone purchased a tranny from autozone. they have one listed for a little over 1000.00 with core return. I really cant afford to fund the 1900.00 motorcraft one. any help would be appreciated

Its ACCURATE TRANSMISSION part # AXODEW32SHO, I have never hear of them personally but most other autozone parts have been good quality. Just on a tight buget I will check out rock auto also. I may just rebuild it myself, to save money.

I wouldnt trust autozone if the world came to an end. It seems every part i buy from them i have to return and their computer systems are just as horrible as their parts. Rebuild it yourself if you ahve done it before that way you can reinforce it as well.

hey if ur capable of rebuilding your own tranny then do it yourself, you will probably save 500 bucks or more...

Have been looking up parts might give the rebuild a try myself, never done a atx before. But have done mtx's and motors so cant be that bad. thanks for the input

would give them a call and see if that is where auto zone get them out of

also if you do get a rebuild i would go with a 94 -95 rebuild because of the

25-spline converter
