As we come down to the last 3.5 weeks before the convention, here is some more good news:
Guest Speakers: We are proud to have Pat Goss from MotorWeek TV as our keynote speaker on Thursday night. Pat is a former SHO owner, sucessful businessman, (repair garage) and TV star.
Also, we will have a great driver training instructor from Summit Point to talk to us at Monday nights reception.
Other news:
SOUND OFF! During the car show, anyone with an interesting sounding exhaust is welcome to line it up and rev-it up for the award for "best sounding SHO Exhaust". Every car will be given about 10 seconds to make their case, and the crowd will vote by applause. No fee, no sign up, just line up and rev it up when called upon. This will be in the parking lot adjacent to the SHOw.
STuff your face with crab! We will go as a group Wednesday evening after Summit Point for a late dinner at one of the most interesting restaurants you will ever see. With menu items from $10 up, everyone can enjoy, but I am going for the $30 all you can eat Maryland Blue Crab special! Sign up at the registration table, but this is not pre-pay, just arrive, sit with the group and pay your own bill.
Photo of your car at Summit Point: Again this year, Jack Puryear of Digital Race Photography will be on hand to take pictures of your car at the Summit Point event, and probably at Mason/Dixon Dragway also!
For a fair dollar amount, you can take home an 8X10 up to huge poster size of your SHO in action, with the event and date on the picture. Just see Jack at his trailer, or at the banquet to make arrangements. Be sure to let him know your car number before each event.
We have a great all day drive you can take to see some of the most interesting sights in the area. you will get a route guide, and can take this drive before or after the convention, or during if you find the time.
MORE LATER!
SEE you in Maryland July 22-25, 2002 for SHO's EAST!
