Just a thought (yeah, I know...) maybe put the diesels at the end, in case the dyno needs to be set up differently for them rather than jumping back and forth and delaying the roster?

May not be an issue though?

It's not an issue. Kirk will be running at the end because he'll be doing some tuning which will take longer.

I think i'm good in the order - we'll have to see how the morning goes esp if i'm running late. The girl is adiment about being at this party @ 2. I told her that I was going to leave around 1ish. Gonna see how long it takes me to get there. I'm stoping off the highway in RI to grab a few gallons of race fuel, snacks, and drinks.

:woo-hoo:

Are we doing a series of runs and that's it? I've got a free flow intake tube I need to put on but thought I might wait and do a before and after...

If you want we can hold you until the end of the pack and give you time to install the intake tube while the car is still on the dyno without holding up the rest of the group. Any idea how long it will take to install?

Damn did I really register first?

Anywho, I won't get there until 10ish, you should put people ahead of me, or push me to the back of the pack or however you feel is best.

See everyone in a bit.

Had a great time, wish I was able to make Kirks...

What kind of numbers did the other cars put down? Last one I saw was Kirk's tq. monster pull.

I was very happy with mine, it's amazing how well things work when the cams are timed!

Your car did well too Bill, 191 for a stock V8 is very respectable!

Eric, too bad you couldn't make it out. Is the trans junk or just a minor glitch?

I had a great time as well. Only problem - tranny is now feeling like its ready to fall out. When I was getting ready to leave, I couldn't get it out of reverse. I had to jam it out. Made me a lil nervous for the ride home. Arrived at teh party on time to. Going to leave the party - reverse was stuck again.

I do have a spare tranny but it needs new syncros. Portland told me that if I drop it off they are gonna wack me $150 just to look at it and put that towards the price of the re-build. I have Tasca day coming up so I gotta see if I can get it fixed in time. So much for getting my Bullitt intake on.

It was good to see everyone and both the dyno day and the party afterwards at Kirk's house were a great success!

Thanks to everyone who came! :thankyou:

BTW - What did everyone pull for #'s?
I've got the list on my laptop which is still out in the car. I've also got a bunch of pictures on my camera.

I'll post everyone's numbers and pix tonight when I get home.

Right now the shop and I are thinking either a valve body or solenoids, so the consensus was to not tear it up on the dyno. Still runs and drives fine, but I get some nasty flair in between gears.

i pulled a 197hp and a 210 tq which isnt bad but next year it will be alot better hopefully
we also found out its not worth putting 5 grand into a volvo S60r you only gain 30 hp hahaha but it is worth putting money into diesels :) lol

197 NA? That's real good, man. I remember reading somewhere there's some guy with a SC'd GIII that's only getting 191-ish! :nut:

Great to have hung out with everyone all weekend. Seems like we just left for breakfast, and here we are nearly 40 hours later. Time flies when spent in the good company of friends.

Thanks to those who made the effort to attend - even if you didn't pull - and to those of you who weren't able to make this one, we hope to see you at the next event!

Stay tuned, as Kirk will no doubt post up pics and vids.

Dyno Day Results!

Here are the results from the NESHOC Dyno Day:

Rickie F. 254/293 (SN95 Cobra)

Bob G. 200/192 ('92 3.2L)

Hamal T. 195/193 ('92 3.2L)

Bill T. 191/176 ('96 Stock)

James P. 377/363 ('04 CTS-V)

Mel S. 174/358 ('01 E-350 Diesel)

Kirk D. 420/759 ('08 2500HD Diesel)

Randy C. 268/273 (Volvo S60R)

Chip F. 300/317 (Volvo S60R)

Matt R. 197/210 ('96 w/SCT)

Paul N. 208/200 ('97 w/SCT)

Kirk D. 201/204 ('96 MTX)

It was a very successful dyno day, and a nearly perfect day for it. It was 74*F all day long, 30.00” steady and 30% humidity.

In addition to the local members, Paul came in from IL, Hamal from NYC, and Chip (Volvo guy) from NH. A few other people came by just to watch as well.

The SHO’s did very, very well. All were N/A, with Paul’s 208 being the highest and Bill T’s 191 the lowest (in fairness he was only running on 7 cylinders). Neither of the 3.2L ‘92s are tuned, so I bet each of them has at least another 10hp potential.

I’ll post some pictures later, but for giggles and grins we fired up a leaf blower and stuck it in Hamal’s intake. It only made 1hp and 5 ft. lbs., but firmly proved that blowing hot air is a joke!

A great time was had by all, including the BBQ at Kirk’s house afterwards.
