need torque specs

The following are from the 1990 Helm service manual.

As far as I know the 92 is the same (Gen I).

Steering knuckle to strut (upper bolt that goes thru the strut) 70 to 95 foot pounds of torque.
I suggest that you clean this bolt with a wire brush and apply anti-sieze compound to the threads.

If you had to heat it to get it out seriously consider replacing it. Heat takes the temper out of the metal and weakens it.

Ball joint pinch bolt nut (lower steering knuckle) 40 to 45 foot pounds of torque. NOTE: It is recommended that the ball joint stud pinch bolt, and the lock nut, be REPLACED and NOT reused. rangerj
