Hey guys.

I have done the complete kit with Livernois Motorsports (CAI, Stage 3, Tstat, and downpipes (W/O cats). I even installed the magnaflow exhaust kit with an Xpipe replacing the center resonator. I loved my car. Until I didn't love my car anymore...

A month of bliss and then the headaches began. I got a wrench light on my dash. Had no idea what it was since I couldn't get a code when I connected my tuner. I crawled through the manual to find out its a drivetrain issue. Great.

When I bought the car in Jan 2013, my finance manager (a fellow gearhead) convinced me to get the warranty on it since everything for my car could be easily removed when taken in for service. So when I called Livernois, they told me to put the car back to stock tune wise. I did. Leaving all the physical parts for my car intact. I took the car to the dealer and they told me that they could tell it was tuned. Mini heart palpatations... They told me that they did find an issue with the tranny codes and "reflashed it". So I go home and not being ok with stock speed, I put the stage 3 back on. Something goes wrong. Car won't start. Big heart palpatations...

Turns out when the dealer reflashed the CPU memory my stage 3 Livernois Tune didn't belong to my car anymore. So I was able to get this fixed. I mentioned earlier that I had redone the exhaust system. Well about that, I took the car to an exhaust shop to get 2.5 in piping ran the whole way through installing the downpipe (no cats) to the Xpipe to the magnaflow mufflers. I was under the impression that the shop had put my stock exhaust set up in my trunk after dissembling it. I was wrong. I was very wrong. So I lost all of my OEM cats.

Wrench light went away and all was good for 2 weeks. Until I saw the smoke. I have James Bond level smoke coming from my exhaust. I ran through the forums and saw that there have been some cars with Turbo seal issues, which sounds about right since I get the smoke after decceleration. Back to stock I go, and back to the dealer I go. Dealer says no way. No cats. Since I'm now involving the turbos Ford is going to send an inspector to review my car before they submit the order for new turbos. They advised me to get my cats back on. I don't have them. I called Livernois, they said their catted downpipes are on back order but suggested I contact you lovely people about seeing if anyone was more diligent than me and still have their OEM downpipes/cats. I would gladly buy them from you OR rent them if you want them back. I got to get this car fixed before I end up selling it. Please help.

TL;DR I am looking to buy/rent out your stock OEM downpipes WITH Cats. Please contact me if at all possible.

Why don't you contact 4DRHTRD - He lives in Phoenix area and has PPE Downpipes on his Flex. Flex stock catted downpipes will work on your SHO.

However, if Ford knows your car was tuned, I'll bet money that they will refuse to warranty the turbos.

Ford & dealer can tell from ECM: #1... How many times your ECM has been flashed (tuned) and #2... How many Key turns, ( starts/stops) since the last time the ECM has been flashed. Dealers record each time they flash ECM, so if the records Ford has, don't match your ECM,????? OOPS!

What this means is.... If you play... be prepared to pay... Sorry. I have...

I do live in Phoenix, I have the factory cats and the rest of the downpipes BUT mine have been modified to install my cutout. I'll happily lend you my cats or sell them to you but you'll need to get the other parts from the dealer or somewhere else.

You'll need to buy 5G203A and 5G203B from this diagram:

I don't know any one else that is local btw with downpipes done.

Maybe Shomeda$ can send you those two pipes and then he doesn't have to ship that cats.
:)

right now on eBay you can by the cats and then they call it a "Flex" or "intermediate pipe". These two items together designed for you application's fitment = your downpipes. Some of those cats looks better flowing that out, and the intermediate pipe looks solid. Not to mention ...it's probably 500$ for everything with shipping

This is so you can use one larger cutout unit to control the valve to dump the exhaust right before the flex pipes feed into the 2 bolt flanges? That's pretty damn clever

Check your PCV valve. Make sure it's not feeding intake boost pressure into the engine. Too much pressure in the engine means the oil won't drain back out of the turbos. Instead it gets forced out past the turbo seals. Check your compression make sure you haven't lost a piston ring or a head gasket. I don't think this is likely though.

I still have my OE set..... I took them off at a scant 3,300 on the clock when I went with custom exhaust.
