Just installed a new Kenwood Stereo into my 1990 SHO. All speakers work fine, sound just okay. However the previous owner "Cut" the wires that go from the JBL Amp in the trunk to the 2 subs. Can I reattach these wires, or will there be a problem???? Thanks.

Why do you want to re-attach those lines? I put kenwood stereos from Crutchfield in four SHOs and just ignored the previous system, connectors all matched up and speaker connections worked fine. The sub in the rear of the SHO at that age is not gonna sound good, its a paper cone and gotta be dried out, Wait...there's only one sub, its in the middle of the rear, the two on the sides of the rear deck inside the window aren't subs, they're full range speakers...I highly recommend putting in new speakers. You won't regret it.

I was hoping to get better audio quality, but was not sure if I would damage anything if I hooked them back up.

There is no single sub in the 90 JBL, there are woofers held onto the bottom of the deck, and two-ways installed in the brackets. The woofers are what are being referenced in the OP.

You'll want to buy the bypass cable (if not already installed) and buy your own speakers. A good set of 6x9 three-way speakers will sound way better than the stock gear.

You should have two sets of cables in the console: two right angle plugs belong to one set and a single right angle plug and a square plug belong to the other set. Do you have all those?

This looks like the right harness. I'd have to look at mine ton confirm though and I'm in the wrong state.
