Need Help!!

I just changes the alternator belt on my car and now it's acting funny. It seems as it's skipping cause the car would jump. And then it will cut off in the middle of driving. Is it to tight or to loose? or does it have anything to do with it? Please help!

Did you mean your serpantine belt? It should self adjust. Did you feed it thru the pulleys correctly? Mine always seemed pretty fool proof to replace. I just removed the battery loosened the tensioner and wedged the ratchet arm against the battery tray to hold it loose until I fed the belt through.

Yeah, that's what i meant. I could be driving and it will ****. And sometime just cut off w/o anywarning, but i'm assuming that's something else.
