212 IDM circuit failure / SPOUT circuit grounded.
217 Coil 3 primary circuit failure.
542 Fuel pump secondary circuit failure.

542 can be ignored, gets set when engine dies
Which brand of coil pack did you install?
Did you replace all these parts since they failed?
Did you try swapping the old parts (coil pack, ICM, PCM) back in one by one?
Double check all your grounds and connections

I have seen coil primary circuit codes when the real issue was the pcm or the crank sensor. However, in your case since if I understand the situation right you have spark on 4 cylinders just not 2/6 that suggests you really do have a coil problem. In my experience, 20 year old Ford coil packs are better than new aftermarket coil packs.

I think it was a car quest coil pack and yeah the mechanic thinks the new crank sensor is failing again

Agree with this. However changing coil failure is strange. Was this the exact same failure before you swapped parts? Did you use a new sensor or a used one?

No the car was stalling before I replaced the crank sensor then it stopped now I'm having 2 coils on the coil pack failing that was a new problem after repairing the old one

Well, the crank sensor is tricky to get the gap right, and if wrong it can easily destroy the crank sensor. But I have never seen a crank sensor cause a coil fault on just one of the coils - its always been all of them. That is why I think its the coil pack itself.

It doesn't affect the spacing. I've only had to deal with one of the first run CPSs that had to be filed down. I used a feeler gauge to get the gap on both sides of the vane the same.

Yes we had to file it down it was supposed to be a second one but it ended up first batch somehow and it was filed after the crank was put in it was fine for a month or 2 then one day just had a random misfire on 3 that's when we replaced the coil pack plugs and wires then it went to 3&5 then put back on the old one it went to 2 &6 then put back the new stayed 2 & 6 then put back the old still said the same 2& 6 then put back the new and it stayed the same again 2 & 6 and that's where I'm at now

If the car is actually running, even though it may be misfiring, can't be anything wrong with the CPS. The car wouldn't run at all if so. Might be an idea for your mechanic to run the Probst DIS tests.DIS Test P1 DIS Test P1
