I have seen a lot of posts and websites detailing 3.2 swaps but most of what I have found details swapping a manual trans into a 3.2 ATX car.

I have a MTX car that I want to swap a 3.2L engine into.

I know the flywheel and tranny bolt right up ... right?

I know I will be using the 3.0 motor mounts and subframe ... right?

What parts from the 3.0 engine/3.2 car will I need to strip/retain and use on the 3.2 MTX product?

Will I need to transfer the computer from the 3.2?
Will I need to retain the accessories from the 3.0?

Anything I forgot?

I want to get my '**** in a group' before I start.

When I do the swap I'll be documenting it for all to see.

Make sure ure getting the right one (theres 2 swaps)

one can be a 3,2 atx (car) that wants to put an MTX on it. (like meh)

OR

Current MTX want to put the 3,2 in your MTX car.

There could be some differant parts for both , make sure you have the good swap list.

As for the tranny (and all), yes its a bolt on.

I wish id help , but im into a ATX car making up with a MTX tranny , not actually the same thing...

Cerb, your swap sounds harder than mine...

So, I will need to use the 3.0 accessories(including timing stuff) and hack the boss off of the front of the 3.2 head?

Just wanted to clarify as I was hoping this would be a 1 day swap. It looks like I WILL in fact have to tear into the 3.0 motor for parts before I swap engines.

I was hoping I could simply drop the 3.2(accessories and all) into the engine bay of my MTX car...guess not.

one day , its gonna be harsh if you never did a swap . Even if you have a hoist.

But what you can do is this , keep everything BUT the block. swap only the block , keeping the 3.0 heads (3.2 with 3.0 cams is even better) , Keep the 3.0 pan , 3.0 exhaust ,etc..

BUT it has downsides : gaskets. Ull need a good set of gaskets. Might need to fabricate a motor mount.

I donno about the accessories...crank pulley n stuff , would it fit?

with your 3,2 u can use both of corse. While ive never seen 3.0 block on 3.2 cams.

Its been well discussed that the 3.0 cams on 3.2 , makes it a little more agressive. (prolly a couple HPs nothing more)

The 3.0 Heads are slightly different from the 3.2 heads and there is where the cutting and threading is involved. You can swap heads.

I think I just figured out why I must use the 3.0 accy train!!

The 3.2 A/C bracket is integral to the motor mount, which has a different attachment point to the subframe.

Is this right?
