No one asked what sync generation he/she has.
For updates sync 2 needs fat32
For sync 3 updates exFAT
No idea. just relaying what Ford calls out. It is also recommended to the dealership to have a 32GB or larger drive
I don't know why I assumed the maps auto-update? I purchased my 2013 about 8 months ago and the maps seem to be pretty up to date. I drove to a funeral a couple of months ago and the software knew about road construction going on that had just started. When the "Sync is performing a scheduled update" message comes on, does it not update the maps, then?now I just wish I didn't have to pay 150 bucks for the damn maps. if it was for lifetime I would. not 150 every year
The maps are updated periodically by Ford. I've done two updates in the last two and a half years of ownership. The road construction warning is part of the Live Traffic service, which is built into most newer GPS systems.I don't know why I assumed the maps auto-update?
