Mystery wire, again.

Hey guys, here is another mystery wire. Its connected into a harness abover the pedals. Not sure if its a ground. I grounded it once and my hvac was showing Celsius. Im assuming thats all it does?

that does not look like a factory wire to me...

it is factory and it does convert the HVAC to celcius, nothing else. figured that out after replacing my blend door motor. On us spec car it is usually taped back to the harness.
