My trunk leaks what to seal it with

The factory weather stripping stops water about as good as birth control pills stops the transmission of aids. I mean pretty much my whole trunk is wet and i have to dry it off. How should i seal it and what should i use???

I followed the directions for the taillights and the trunk and that cured the leaks. I also stripped the trunk, cleared out the drain holes and dried the carpet and padding for a couple of days. Car doesn't stink anymore.

I don't have a normal leak, per se, but decent amounts of water condensate on the bottom of the deck lid and then soak the interior of the trunk. Would a new seal fix that, or is there another problem?

It could be leaking through the taillights also. I had water get in the trunk all the time, and I suspected the trunk gasket too- until I followed the water trail and saw it came through the lights. Caulked both lights, problem solved.

If you are getting water inside the trunk, it's a safe bet that it's entering from one of the rear taillight housings. I've had the problem in the past and sure enough the source was the right taillight. The write up on shotimes.com is very helpful with this situation.
