my spider gears blew up

[91 SHO Black]

i was cruising at 85 in fifth car **** shifter popped out of gear and smoke behind me. pulled over and my fluid was dumping out. all the gears still work, **** the car will still go.(i didn't drive it) this has happened to me once before and i had no choice but to give the repair to a shity shop that did everything wrong ( i was 200 miles from home) so i surmise that my spider gears through a chunk punching a hole in the case and now i'm pretty ******. There’s a sho of the same year in a junk yard and i'm wondering if this is so common that it would be unwise to use a unknown used sho trans. any incites? from any one please. p.s. does anybody know were i can get procedures for the job.

sounds like a diff pin ejected.
