Alright, so I went to the welder on Friday and he says he can put the frame to rights for between 3 and 600 bucks. I'm certainly going to do it cause the rest of the car is so good.
I thought there were two missing pieces of plastic molding on the drivers side and found them in the trunk. yippie! I took out the MAF and it was real dirty. Cleaned it well and so far I get no more stalling. We'll see over the next few days if it stays fixed. So..serpentine belt, rear brakes RF outer tie rod and...ouch... LF wheel bearing and lower ball. I should be soaring through town after all this. its only got 126k on it. I will need to do something about the hood at some point and there is a plastic cowl type piece that runs across the whole from behind the radiator that the headlights connect to. It is broken off on the passenger side, I suppose a casualty of the deer hit that crunched the hood a bit too.
Can the hood just be ...pressed or flattened back out, or does it need to be replaced? Have to talk to the body shop guy I suppose.
happy days ahead!,
Terry

fixing the hood is going to be way more money than replacing it - that large radius curve that describes the top of the hood is nearly impossible to get right after the hood has been bent, so pretty much no one even tries.

Thanks for that reply RubyD, So, it's look on the forum and other. Like I said, it closes, but it's not pretty like the rest of the outside of the car. So eventually. I'm more focused on the interior right now and getting the mechanicals secure and dependable. Kevin has a front
?shroud? ...that goes from side to side and holds the headlights, I'll probably get that shipped here soon and do that myself when it isn't....a high of 8 below zero like it is today...Hate winter! Might have to move to...
Take Care,
Terry
