Ok. I ordered the blower kit, and it was supposed to ship early, to my work - no sense getting the AWA all upset of a little thing like 9 pounds of boost.

Then, last Thursday (5/3/01) the blower was supposed to ship, follwed by the tubing a day or two later. This Thursday came & went with no tracking numbers, so I faxed him asking "earth to Vadim - where's my blower?". I went to NE Dragway Friday night, and of course he calls the house, and leaves a message with my wife, stating the blower will ship asap, followed by the tubing. A) This is exactly the story he gave me the week before, and more importantly, B) My wife wants to know what a "9 Sand Blower" is. Some days, I want to beat the snot out of people, some days I want to find a hole & cry, & other days, I want to own a performance sedan & go wail. One out of three ain't bad...

PS - it's too bad Joe Scott doesn't put his own kit together, instead of reselling SHO Shop's...

Thank goodness for Vadim's accent! Had your wife heard "pound" she would be roasting your nuts over the fire I'm sure.

Fred,

I probaly could have gotten the blower kit for you, and discretly shipped it to a secret drop off point. What are you going to tell your will when you accidently smoke the tire in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pulling out of the drivway?

I really have no guilt factor - the Jamaica trip earlier this year (while nice for me) was really so my wife could get away & come back to reality. So, I think I'm ok.
biggrin.gif

Seriously, I spoke with Joe Scott today while ordering MORE stuff (got IPT to send me out the 3-gauge A-pillar piece, & Joe's shipping me out a Fuel Pressure gauge to go with the Oil Pressure & Water Temp gauges I received today), as well as Poly bushings & endlinks for the 26 & 24mm bars I received last Friday (although I have no immediate plans for the front bar & bushings, at least I'll have them).

I'm personally pretty disgusted with the whole situation, and I doubt very much that Vadim could get me to buy anything more from him, should I not get my stuff SHIPPED by this Thursday. He needs to cut the BS, do what it takes, & get the stuff he has laying around his shop OUT to me. I sure can think of a **** of a lot better things to waste $3800+ on. Namely, a down payment on that Impala SS or M3...

Yep. I called again yesterday (5/15/01), & Vadim was going to get back to me as to the status of my order. I'm still waiting for the call back, never mind the actual parts that I've already PAID $3800 FOR...

Still Waiting,

So, I called tonight (about 3pm CA time), & Vadim answered. He told me he was JUST about to call me. He told me the blower has already shipped, and the newly powdercoated tubing would ship today. 'Bout Time.

Although...

I never did get a tracking number...

Fred-

I had a similar issue with Vadim when I ordered my Cold air induction kit. I ordered it on a Wednesday, and it didn't ship out of CA until 8 days later. Plus he tacked on an additional $20 for the K&N cleaning kit, which I really didn't want.

I get the impression that the Shoshop's committment to SHOs has diminished since Ford axed production of the car. I would imagine Vadim will focus more on other niche groups in the future. Business is business.

But there is no excuse for a Stage I customer like yourself should have to be ****** around on such an expensive order. Hope you didn't order a SHOFear t-shirt as well, that may hold up your SC another week.

I think SHO Shop is awesome...for the local guys. They seem to do pretty good.

If I may ask, why did you go with the SHO Shop setup? I've always like Doug Lewis's setup better. There customer service is awesome also. I will always go to them before SHO Shop from now on.

Hiya Ryan.
I've spoken with Doug in the past, and I've seen his blower design. Personally, I'm not comfortable with the "across-the-front" shaft design. I have heard something about balancing & harmonics elsewhere on the net, but it's just my gut that says no. It certainly was not the service end, or the know-how. Doug strikes me as one of the most knowledgeable & innovative people in the SHO community.

No, it was only liking the front-of-motor design better that prompted me to go with the SHO Shop kit. I was not going to buy directly from Vadim - I was trying to contact Joe Scott at SPMotorsports & buy Vadim's kit through him (knowing it was a resale deal), only because I wanted to funnel Joe some business. He's been great to speak with, & always seems to have his act together. I just couldn't get a hold of him, so I went through SS.

I have had similar experiences at the SHO Shop. Back in '00 when I ordered my hi flow cats, they took 3 weeks to get to my place start to finish (not an exaggeration). First it would take a week to get them shipped, then when I called they had to backorder more, and then a week later they finally shipped. I liked the product, but the service was apparently not dead on.

Again just a week or so ago I ordered heavy duty motor mounts, and paid for 3 day shipping. The new guy working there had a problem with my credit card number (typed it in wrong), and so called me back 2 days later to say it didn't go through. Then I paid for 2 day shipping, and it got there in 4 days (working days), when asked why he said "we have to order our stuff too", well if they were up front about that it would ease people's minds.

On the other hand, back in '00 I had about $2500 worth of work done by them, including a clutch job. When I was at the shop they were pretty good, and even gave me a ride to the train station which was 45 minute drive (as I lived in San Diego at the time). Nice guys if you live close, just to balance it a bit. Need to work on mail order skills a little.

I spoke with Ray at SS today. He gave me a Fedex Ground tracking number, with a value of $2000, shipped 5/11/01. Great, since the order was worth $3800. So, that tells me that the blower was shipped but the tubing wasn't. The last time Fedex scanned the box was 5/16/01, in Ohio. Ray told me there was only one tracking number.

Since the tubing was supposed to ship 5/16/01 by 3 day service, I should have rec'd that the same day as the blower. Since there's only one tracking number, I'm getting pulled around again, on the tubing this time. YAAAARGGGGHHHHH!!!!

I'm sure I'll feel much better once I see some HARDWARE for my $3800...

You are not going to believe this.

For those of you in Ohio, it's last known location was Columbus.

Latest update:
5/25/01, Fedex dropped off the 2nd package of the blower kit. Missing from the kit are the modified fuel rails & injectors, battery relocation kit, & 255 lph fuel pump. Vadim is of course going on vacation next week, so we're scurrying to get these things moving. Apparently, someone out there with a new cat-back or Y-pipe has my fuel rails & injectors. They seemingly were packed in the wrong box & wrong order.

I have a 190lph pump. In the beginning, Vadim told me it would run out of fuel at 6000 rpm, with either the 6 or 9psi kits, so I needed to replace my 190 with a 255lph. Today, when I told him there was no pump in the package, he told me "but you already have a 190 in there - it should be ok". Consistent.

Anyway, on 6/4/01, I should be back in touch with Vadim about getting my missing parts out to me. Now watch me hold my breath. Yeah Right.

What's New?

[/b]10/12/00 [/b]

Things have been quiet for some time now. A few things have happened at the shop however.

Website - Stay tuned for a new website within the next couple of weeks. SHO Shop.com gets a whole new look, with a new catalog for the SHO/SVT, and now Taurus GL/SE!

In their defense on the web site, Tom Guagliardo (sp?) handled that, & got called away on personal business. He's been unavailable forever, and Vadim doesn't even get email, etc. via the site. He said he's got someone new working on a new site design. Best to call & ask for his paper catalog for parts & updated prices.

You all should see the photos on Fred's site. It's amazing...You spend 4 grand on a blower and it comes in a beat up box with no packaging! I agree with the earlier post...I would be going *******!!!

PS. Joe Scott from SP is a great guy...but service is slower that $hit!!!

That's another story.
