I remember reading that someone said that our cars engines run relativly cool, but not with my 90' it is burning hot to the touch one just the other day i drove it for like 25 mins they went to taco bell i put it in neutral nd sat there eating my food it was running out. I look up and i can see smoke coming from my hood beacuse the rain was cooling it off becuase it was so hot i don't think this is normal and sometime after driving ti for alittle bit i can smell like burnt rubber or something close to the that. also my car lets out alot of white smoke pretty thick is it water or antifreeze anyone have any suggestions. Thanks alot Jason

What is your temperature gauge showing? Does your cooling fan run when you set the climate control to A/C? Need more definitive information.

Your first problem is that your eating at Taco Bell! Go home and have yourself a MET-Rx bar immediately and clean out your system. Then buy some aftermarket gauges like vdo vision series and install. Of course you might want to fix the problem first.

many a night we have relied on taco bell at 2:00 in the morning other than having to drive home in a hurry I dont really see the problem.I would like to get gauges other than water temp including oil pressure and volts so that I dont lose another alternator and battery, where can I get gauges, cost, and how hard to install.
on with bros name I am talking about gauges for my 94 ATX.(white94sho)

Jason. First suggestion is is, when the engine is cold, check to see if the coolant is topped off in the radiator. Second is, go onto shotimes, and read the section on bypassing the throttle body coolant lines. During the winter, if you get any signs of throttle sticking, put back the lines as they were originally. Finally, get a police grille, or get me the grille and I'll make it for you. I could lay on my engine after driving it for hours.
