I got a 93ATX, and I drive fairly hard, and I get about 500km per tank. is this normal, or could there be some kind of problem?

Hey 93stocksho, I get approx. 300-375 miles per gallon also out of my tank. Although I will admit that on one highway trip I was pushing around 30 miles to the gallon, but this is rare. I commute to the bronx almost every day in stop and go traffic and i consistently get at LEAST 20 miles per gallon. My usual numbers are around 22 or 24. Hope this helps.

On the freeway I get about 450 miles to a tank. From Albuquerque to Phoenix(approx. 450miles) I made it on one tank of gas with a couple gallons to spare. Normal driving though, I only get around 375 per tank. I always fill up when the light comes on, leaving about 4 gallons in the tank.

You bastards...

I get 400-475 km per tank mostly highway driving in my '94 MTX. I figured it to be arounf 15-17 MPG!

Just did my 120k, will see if it helps with the new coolant and thermostat. BTW I am @ 200000 km

my normal day to day mix of highway/stop and go/romping on the pedal gives me about 21-22 MPG on average. I do believe that might get a little better tomorrow after I fix the dragging rear brakes. On a recent trip to Niagara Falls-Western PA, I got an average of 28mpg over the 1244 miles that I went. And there were a few really steep (read: fun) hills to race up in south western PA. Like hils that were a nice constant grade for like 1-2 miles. I have seen 31 MPG doing just highway to and from work and being very light on the pedal.

If your cars are in good tune (have good plugs/wires and clean plug wells) 600km on the highway is about average if you don't drive it too hard. Bear in mind that your fuel consumption will increase in the winter months.

I have experienced 29.2 mpg 5th gear driving 70-80mph non stop 469mi. On the other hand, I use a full tank of fuel up at the track in 80 miles or less. It is normal for me to get 21-24mpg city. mpg can vary 5 mpg to 30 mpg depending on how you drive.
