My BLUE LED interior, EATC & cold cathode trunk!

can i ask what the purpose was to all the rewiring? i'm not following, sorry. looks good! now all i need is for someone to reprogram the processor on these things to say SHO instead of OFF and have the outside temp work like it does in newer cars, as in it stays on untill turned off or another button is pushed.

Here is how to keep the outside display so it does not change back. Wire in two wires at the points shown on the back of the CB. Connect these wires to some sort of maintained switch to keep the wires shorted. As long as it is like this it will stay. Turn the switch off and then there is normal mis behavior.

Sweet! The ambient temp function really helps when driving in the winter, with temps hovering right around freezing. Especially at night! It'll be nice to keep my hands on the wheel and focus on driving instead of fumbling around for the correct button. Thanks Paul!

I too was wondering. I'm waiting on a bunch of leds to get in that I ordered. Not doing the EATC yet. With the nice blue look it makes it to where I do not want to change my cluster over to a digital one. Would be a pain to change all that around to a blue.

I am wondering too if a blue transparent film would work or if the original lense is green.

The LEDs will over power almost any color. So if the original light is say orange and you put in blue it will be mostly blue.

The digital is originally green. guess something I would need to get ahold of and test and see. Worst case can always sell the whole kit with instructions once I finally found one. Would like to get one off a 93... at least one before the vehicle has the obd2 since I'm picky and like all functions to work.. including epa info.

It cannot be done. The LCD displays work off of internal voltages supplied by the EPROM chips. The EPROM chips would have to have modified firmware "burned" to the EPROM to make the display say SHO all of which is written in codes known as "IF" "THEN" commands. In a nut shell unless you know someone who works for the manufacturer of the head units. It ain't gonna happen with the existing component.
