Yeah, but that blower kit costs the budget for BOTH cars......theoretically, he could pick up a blower on ebay for $200-400, a blow-off/bypass valve for dirt ass cheap, a FMIC for the same amount of cheap, build his own piping and blower brackets and only be out 800-1000. It's the same thing I would do If I had the time, resources and tools.

u do know vortech and procharger heads units are alot more then 400 bucks. Considering they are 1200-2500 new. Vortech is expensive

Sound like an awesome build. IMO i ditch the atx totally and teach her to drive stick. The atx is a money pit itself

The Chip is a SCT red chip From Ford Performance Specialists They tell me that this chip is matched and tuned for the 80mm maf and the set up I will be running and will give me up to 35-50 hp. They have been around for a long time and they tell me the chip they sold me is Great. I see that they are also recomended Highly by this site.

I've used mine in more than one SHO also, however it is not possible to use them in more than one car at a time. (probably what he means)

I guess I will just put the chip in and then dyno the car and see where it is at. Then go from there.

Yah the turbo matters. If you put a small one on you will pretty much have instant boost but will most likely run out on the top end. If you use a huge one like I have, the boost will come on later but it will hit violently and hold to the redline. A medium one would be nice all around. All the tubes do have to be custom bent. and you can use any turbo you wish, how they perform will be differnet though.

Sounds like you're good if you port the intake, install a larger fuel pump, BBB's, and performance clutch. You'll have at least another $1000 to play with for tuning, spark plugs and wires.

You'll need to reinforce your front and rear motor mounts, also. You can do this with a drill and $15 for supplies.

Having had a ZEX dry 100 shot and an intercooled turbo setup on my car, I would say go with a turbo. It can be done relatively inexpensively but takes time and research. As far as the basics go, a t3/t4 would suite you well with a medium sized intercooler. It's just a matter of how you want to route your setup.

?? When did this happen? I have swapped my tweecer between a number of cars.

My bad...I think I was thinking about the XCal tuners...

The Chip is a SCT red chip From Ford Performance Specialists They tell me that this chip is matched and tuned for the 80mm maf and the set up I will be running and will give me up to 35-50 hp. If you're getting 30-50hp from that chip, then I got gypped, cuz I have the same one custom tuned by Doug Lewis himself from FPS. Realistically, you MIGHT see 5-7whp from that chip....and even then, it'd be better to find someone who can tune a superchip with the car on the dyno. I'm not doubting Doug's ability to tune, but it's hard to make the tune perfect for the engine, since each engine's different, without realtime data analysis.

I still vote for the twEECer. Sell the chips and put the money elsewhere. IIRC, he only charges $50 to reflash em.

john you relise hes in michigan that would be a **** of a drive to help out..
also the turbo pipes your talking about do you mean exhaust or intake? cuz they make intake pipes thats universal and you just piece it together for the bends..

also for both you guys in your goals to make a faster car... take $60 and do the rod bearings... its a wise choice to not blow the engine trying to race...

For once....

I agree with Brian. Although...since it's YOUR project...don't take it to him.
