So I have the stang PBR calipers on my 10.9" rotors, and lately when I hit the brakes, they creak. I've narrowed it down to the anti-rattle clips, but I'm not sure on how to proceed in eliminating the problem.

Anyone ever experience this, and have any ideas on how to rectify it?

E clips?

The slider pins on these calipers don't have any clips. These aren't the cobra calipers; these are the GT calipers. Unless you're talking about something else, in which case...

huh?

Hamal, I think this is a common problem. My friend has a 2000 GT, and ever since hes had the thing, the pass side caliper rubs and squeaks. And yes, it is a BRAND NEW CALIPER FROM FORD that they installed on a warranty. Its obvious that one rim has dust all over it and the other ones clean. Recently he changed the pads out and the problem went away. Is it possible that your pads are unevenly worn? Or is that not the same kinda squeak Im talking about?

I installed the pbr calipers with brand new green stuff pads and I get a loud squeel on one side too when braking slowly. I have heard of stuff called permatex that you can spray on them but im not exactly sure where to spray it and if it will even help.

J it's not a constant squeaking, its a creaking noise like when you walk on an old wooden floor or similar. The more you lay into the brakes, the more it creaks.

You sure it's not your right knee?

I thought it might have been, so I upped my Geritol dosage. Still doin' it. Though, when it creaks, I can feel it in the pedal.
